Security Service Systems (“SSS,” “we,” “us,” “our”) provides alarm installation, alarm monitoring and community patrol services on the Westside of Los Angeles. This policy explains what personal information we collect through securityservicesystems.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the patrol subscriptions purchased through it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Name, service address, billing address, email address and telephone number
- Account login details, if you create an account
- Order and subscription records — which patrol route you subscribe to and your billing term
- Property details you give us for patrol or vacation watch, such as travel dates or access instructions
- Anything you write in a contact or quote form
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP address, through Google Analytics
- Cookies that keep your cart and session working, keep you signed in, and support analytics
Payment information
Card details are entered directly into our payment processors — Stripe, WooPayments and PayPal — and are processed on their systems. We do not receive or store full card numbers on this website. We can see the last four digits, the card brand, and whether a charge succeeded.
How we use your information
- To provide patrol, alarm monitoring and vacation watch services at your address
- To take payment and manage recurring subscription billing
- To contact you about your service, your account, or a response at your property
- To answer quote requests and questions
- To keep records required for accounting, tax, and our California licensing obligations (PPO 16006, ACO 6266)
- To understand how this website is used so we can improve it
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never sold customer information, and we do not provide it to other companies for their own marketing.
We share personal information with service providers who need it to operate our business, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe, WooPayments and PayPal — to process payments and recurring billing
- Our web host — to operate and back up this website
- Google (Analytics) — website analytics
- Creative Mail — to send email you have asked to receive
- Imperva — website security and content delivery
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law — for example in response to a subpoena, court order or lawful request from law enforcement — or where it is necessary to respond to an emergency at a property we patrol.
This website does not run advertising or retargeting trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep subscription and billing records for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Website analytics data is kept according to the retention period set on our Google Analytics account. Contact form submissions are kept until we no longer need them to answer your enquiry.
Your choices and your rights
If you are a California resident, you may ask us to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and where it came from
- Correct it, if it is wrong
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — though as stated above, we do not sell or share it
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
You can also unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any such message.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of this site, including checkout, may stop working if you do.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, and this website does not currently respond to them.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
