Professional security patrol for our community — $50 per month.
Security Service Systems provides community patrol throughout Venice. This is our Venice route — separate from the Venice Canals patrol, which is its own dedicated route with its own billing options. Our uniformed officers patrol the community seven days a week in clearly marked SSS patrol vehicles, with 24-hour response to any subscriber call or alarm.

What Your Subscription Includes
Patrol
Uniformed SSS officers patrol Venice seven days a week in clearly marked patrol vehicles.
24-hour response
Response to any subscriber call or alarm activation, 24 hours a day.
Local dispatch
You get our own dispatcher, someone who knows the Venice route, instead of an out-of-state call center.
Yard sign
Subscribers get an SSS yard sign for the front of the house, so it is clear the property is on patrol.
Vacation service
Going out of town? We keep an eye on your property while you’re away. Vacation watch may include:
- Removing newspapers from your property
- Clearing door hangers and flyers
- Collecting mail where applicable
- Placing mail and other items in a designated spot on your property
- Checking the property during scheduled patrol

What It Costs
$50 a month
Every term works out to $50 a month. We do not charge extra for monthly billing, and paying a year ahead does not save you anything. This route requires a one-year agreement.

Is my street on the route?
The patrol covers Venice. Call us at (310) 477-2095 and we will confirm your address.
What happens when I call?
Call us about suspicious activity or anything else that concerns you and we send a unit. That line is staffed at any hour.
Do I need an alarm system to subscribe?
No. Patrol stands on its own, and plenty of subscribers have no alarm at all. We can also install and monitor alarm systems if you want both.
Is there a long-term contract?
Yes. The Venice route runs on a one-year agreement, whichever billing term you pick, and we go over it with you before you start.
How is this different from my alarm company?
An alarm sends a signal. A patrol subscription puts a marked car and a licensed officer on the street. Most of our subscribers have both.
How do I start?
Sign up online and we confirm your address, usually inside two business days.
